Santa Fe 2013

The Southwest Orthopaedic Trauma Association strives to “Build Teamwork in Trauma Care” through orthopaedic medical education, orthopaedic research, development of orthopaedic residents and fellows through motor skills labs, cadaver labs and trauma courses. SWOTA facilitates patient care and transfers through networking with member surgeons and by reviewing orthopaedic x-rays and case histories with referring physicians. SWOTA secures funding and educational grants from foundations, orthopaedic suppliers, educational exhibits and special projects. SWOTA partners with the University of Arizona Health Sciences, Banner Health System and the Arizona Orthopedic Education Foundation (AOEF) to hold an annual CME interactive advanced trauma meeting and to create surgical exposure and technique videos for surgeon education.

Miguel Pirela Cruz, M.D. will present the "Michael Marshall Memorial Lecture" September 22nd 2012 in Mesa. The title of presentation is "Revascularization, Replantation & Salvage Procedures - Management of Partial & Complete Extremity Amputations"
